| This style of helmet was inroduced in 1944, although developed in the early 1940s. It offered much better protection than the 'Tommy' which was itself based on the WWI style of helmet. This particular helmet has had some paint troubles, compounded by my attempts to respray it in a sutiable colour! | ||||||||||||||||||||||
